A TDS water tester will barely move
TDS testers measure the minerals dissolved in water, not chlorine. Purea keeps calcium and magnesium on purpose, so the reading barely changes while the chlorine taste and odour are reduced.
It isn't a water softener
Because the minerals stay in, it won't stop limescale building up on your kettle or tap.
Filtered water runs a little slower
Water needs time to pass through the filter, as with every filter. Switch to unfiltered and your tap runs at full speed.
Cartridge life depends on your water
Each cartridge lasts up to 3 months. With more sediment in your water or more people at home, you may change it sooner.
